Syuri Sets IWGP Women’s Title Defense Against Natsupoi for July 18

By PW Exclusive Pipeline·June 21, 2026

Syuri’s reign atop the IWGP Women’s division continues to build momentum, and her next challenger has been set. At STARDOM THE CONVERSION, Syuri made it four successful defenses of the IWGP Women’s Title by turning back Rina Yamashita. The celebration didn’t last long, though — Natsupoi stepped up immediately after the match to issue a direct challenge for the title.

Syuri didn’t hesitate, accepting the challenge on the spot. The match has since been officially confirmed for July 18, giving both competitors a target date to build toward.

The matchup carries plenty of intrigue. Syuri has been on a dominant run with the title, working through a string of credible challengers and adding to her legacy as one of STARDOM’s top figures. Natsupoi, a dynamic and technically sound performer, represents a fresh test — someone with the speed and athleticism to push Syuri in ways previous challengers may not have.

With four defenses already in the books, Syuri is firmly establishing herself as a long-term titleholder rather than a transitional champion. Whether Natsupoi can end that run on July 18 remains to be seen, but the post-match confrontation at THE CONVERSION made clear she’s not waiting around for an opportunity — she went and took one.
