PW Exclusive (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website pwexclusive.com, and is operated by WS Media. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the name and email address you enter, the content of your comment, and your IP address and browser user-agent string, which help us detect and prevent spam. Comments are held for moderation before they appear. An anonymised hash created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; the Gravatar service privacy policy applies.

Social sign-in. If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider in order to create and identify your account on our site. We never receive your social media password. Signing in this way is also governed by Google’s and Facebook’s own privacy policies.

Cookies. If you leave a comment or sign in, we may set cookies to remember your details and keep you logged in, so you don’t have to re-enter them. These are conveniences and you can clear them in your browser at any time.

Embedded content. Articles may include images or media hosted on or embedded from other websites. Embedded content behaves as though you visited that other website, which may collect data about you, set its own cookies, and monitor your interaction with it.

How we use your information

We use the information above to publish and moderate comments, to operate social sign-in, to prevent spam and abuse, and to keep the site secure and working properly. We use the Akismet anti-spam service to screen comments; comment metadata may be shared with Akismet for this purpose, subject to the Automattic privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so we can recognise and automatically approve any follow-up comments from you. For accounts created through social sign-in, we keep your profile information until you ask us to remove it.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it (other than information we are required to keep for legal, security, or administrative reasons). To make a request, contact us using the details below.
