AEW’s Triangle Of Madness Win STARDOM Trios Title

Triangle of Madness is officially a champion faction on both sides of the Pacific. The AEW trio of Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue captured the Artist of STARDOM Championship on Saturday, July 18, defeating Hina, Ami Sohrei and Lady C in a non-tournament title bout that served as the semi-main event of STARDOM’s 5 STAR Grand Prix kickoff show.

The win adds another accolade to a group that has already made waves across the industry through its association with AEW’s Julia Hart and Skye Blue, who have built a reputation as one of the more chaotic and unpredictable acts on AEW programming alongside Thekla. Taking the trios gold from Hina, Sohrei and Lady C gives Triangle of Madness a tangible prize to show for their frequent crossover appearances in Japan, and it marks a notable elevation for the trio within STARDOM’s title picture.

The title change came on the same show that launched this year’s 5 STAR Grand Prix, STARDOM’s marquee annual tournament that typically stretches across several weeks and features some of the promotion’s biggest singles matchups. While the Artist of STARDOM bout itself fell outside the tournament bracket, its placement on the card underscores how much value STARDOM continues to place on cross-promotional talent, particularly those tied to AEW.

For Hina, Sohrei and Lady C, the loss ends their reign with the trios title, though no immediate rematch or follow-up plans have been detailed. For Triangle of Madness, the victory continues a stretch in which AEW-affiliated wrestlers have found success competing under the STARDOM banner, further strengthening the working relationship between the two promotions.

Expect Thekla, Hart and Blue to continue defending the Artist of STARDOM Championship as they balance commitments between AEW television and STARDOM’s Japanese schedule, with more details likely to emerge as the 5 STAR Grand Prix tournament progresses in the weeks ahead.
