Utami Hayashishita Set to Challenge Suzu Suzuki for World of Stardom Title on June 30

STARDOM has announced a World of Stardom Championship match for June 30 at Korakuen Hall, with Utami Hayashishita stepping up to challenge reigning titleholder Suzu Suzuki.

Suzuki is barely off her coronation — she captured the World of Stardom Title at STARDOM The Conversion on June 20, defeating Sayaka Kurara to claim the championship. June 30 at Korakuen Hall will mark the first defense of her reign, and she’ll be tested immediately by one of the promotion’s most decorated competitors.

Hayashishita, a former World of Stardom Champion herself, made her return to STARDOM ahead of this challenge, setting up what figures to be a significant marquee clash. Korakuen Hall has long served as one of joshi puroresu’s most storied venues, and STARDOM regularly uses it to deliver high-profile matches and title changes alike.

With Suzuki having just won the top prize and Hayashishita riding the momentum of her comeback, this matchup carries considerable weight. Whether Suzuki can establish herself as a credible long-term champion by turning back a challenge of this caliber, or whether Hayashishita reclaims gold in her first major opportunity since returning, will be one of the more compelling stories STARDOM heads into June with.
