Matt Hardy Stands Behind TNA President Carlos Silva Amid Promotion’s Ongoing Changes

Matt Hardy has doubled down on his praise for TNA President Carlos Silva, reaffirming his confidence in the executive’s leadership as the promotion continues to navigate a period of significant roster and organizational shifts.

Hardy backed comments he had previously made about Silva’s contributions to TNA, emphasizing that the president was brought in with a specific mandate: reduce the promotion’s debt load, cut unnecessary costs, and land a bigger television deal. In Hardy’s view, Silva has been a driving force behind TNA’s efforts to stabilize and grow, and he has been vocal in crediting the executive for pushing the company forward financially.

The timing of Hardy’s remarks is notable. TNA has been in a state of flux, with changes hitting both the roster and the front office in recent months. That kind of turbulence often breeds uncertainty among talent, which makes a veteran like Hardy publicly aligning himself with management a meaningful signal. Hardy is one of the more established names on the TNA roster, and his willingness to speak positively about the promotion’s direction carries weight with both fans and fellow performers.

Silva’s role, as Hardy frames it, has been less about the creative side of the product and more about putting the business on solid financial footing — a less glamorous but arguably more critical task for a promotion that has historically struggled with sustainability. Whether those efforts translate into long-term stability for TNA remains to be seen, but Hardy clearly believes the organization is trending in the right direction under Silva’s watch.
