WWE NXT aired on July 14, 2026, delivering a jam-packed evening of championship action, a heated rivalry boiling over, and a new No. 1 Contender crowned for the NXT Women’s Championship.

The night opened with tag team gold on the line as The Vanity Project — Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes — put their NXT Tag Team Championships up against Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux. Van Dux impressed with his athleticism and the challengers built momentum, highlighted by tandem splashes over the top rope. However, Jackson Drake and Myka Lockwood interfered to distract the official, allowing the champions to isolate Van Dux and exploit the numbers advantage to walk away with the titles intact.

Naraku followed with a dominant performance over Tate Wilder, sending him crashing off the top rope and dragging him into what Naraku calls The Abyss for the finish. Post-match, NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo stormed out to confront his rival, and the two engaged in a wild brawl that ended with Naraku accidentally spraying his mist into a security guard’s face.

The NXT Women’s North American Championship was defended in a Fatal 4-Way that saw Zaria face Izzi Dame, Lizzy Rain, and Evolve Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons. Dame showed championship-level resilience by kicking out of a Spear from Zaria, while Nattie and Karmen Petrovic attempted to tip the scales for Lyons before being cut off by Jaida Parker. Zaria ultimately finished Lyons with a Spear followed by an F-5 to retain the title.

Jackson Drake of The Vanity Project picked up another win later in the night, outlasting Tavion Heights in a competitive matchup. Heights had the match seemingly in hand, but Drake countered the Height of Glory with a sunset flip to steal the pinfall victory.

The main event of the evening was a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender’s Match for the NXT Women’s Championship, pitting Lola Vice against Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong. Armstrong’s power and Jordan’s aerial ability made things difficult for Vice throughout, and Jordan even broke up a deep armbar by Vice on Armstrong with a Frog Splash. Armstrong was taken out by a combination of Vice’s Spinning Backfist and a 450 Splash from Jordan, but Vice kicked Jordan off the cover to earn the pinfall — making her the official No. 1 Contender to Kendal Grey and the NXT Women’s Championship.
