TNA Unveils New Knockouts Television Championship at Slammiversary, 16-Woman Tournament Set for Impact

TNA Wrestling has officially added new gold to its Knockouts division. During the Slammiversary pre-show, a triple threat match featuring Indi Hartwell, Mara Sadè, and Elayna Black served as the stage for a major announcement — TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks appeared following the bout to unveil the brand-new TNA Knockouts Television Championship.

The title’s debut didn’t stop there. Beginning this Thursday on TNA Impact, a 16-woman tournament will get underway to crown the inaugural champion. The bracket represents a significant expansion of the Knockouts division’s championship picture, giving more women on the roster a meaningful opportunity to compete for title gold.

The Knockouts Television Championship follows the tradition of TV titles in professional wrestling — championships historically defended on a regular basis on weekly programming, designed to keep competitors active and feuds moving at a brisk pace. For TNA’s Knockouts, a title of this nature could meaningfully elevate the mid-card of the division and provide consistent storytelling opportunities week to week on Impact.

Brooks, a cornerstone of the original Knockouts era, was a fitting choice to make the presentation, lending the moment a sense of historical weight. The Knockouts division was one of TNA’s most celebrated creations during the company’s earlier years, and adding another championship signals the promotion’s commitment to keeping that tradition alive.

All eyes now turn to TNA Impact and the opening rounds of the tournament, where 16 competitors will begin the road to becoming the first-ever Knockouts Television Champion.
