Michael Chandler Reportedly Visits WWE Performance Center

UFC veteran Michael Chandler was reportedly spotted at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando on Monday, August 10, adding fresh fuel to speculation about a potential move into professional wrestling. The reason for his visit hasn’t been confirmed, and there’s no indication he has signed with WWE or begun any formal training.

Still, the timing is notable given how openly Chandler has discussed wanting to cross over into pro wrestling. During an October 2025 appearance on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, Chandler said, “God created me for hand-to-hand combat, whether it’s on the wrestling mats or maybe one day in a WWE ring after fighting. Becoming a pro wrestler definitely intrigues me.” He also acknowledged that his MMA success wouldn’t guarantee a smooth transition, saying, “I’d have to go in there, prove my worth, and make them believe I could do it, enjoy it, handle the travel, the lifestyle of being a WWE Superstar.”

Chandler has also revealed direct contact with WWE’s front office. At Fanatics Fest in June 2025, he said he’d spoken with Chief Content Officer Triple H about the possibility of working together, adding, “We’re trying to make that happen… He knows I want that door to be open and I think he wants that door to be open too.”

This wouldn’t be Chandler’s first exposure to WWE television, either. He made a memorable appearance on the February 19, 2024 episode of RAW, grabbing a microphone from the crowd to cut an energetic promo aimed at longtime UFC rival Conor McGregor — a moment that drew public praise from Seth Rollins.

The reported Performance Center visit also comes at a rough stretch for Chandler inside the Octagon. He was stopped in the first round by Mauricio Ruffy at UFC Freedom 250, his fourth consecutive loss, a skid that inevitably raises questions about how much longer he intends to continue competing in MMA.

None of this confirms Chandler is walking away from fighting to become a full-time wrestler, and WWE has made no official statement on the matter. But the combination of his public comments, his acknowledged conversations with Triple H, and now a reported appearance at the company’s training headquarters gives the rumor mill plenty to chew on. Crossover attractions from combat sports have become a familiar play for WWE in recent years, and a name like Chandler — already comfortable on a microphone and with built-in mainstream recognition — would fit that mold if the interest is mutual.

Whether this leads to an actual contract remains to be seen, but it’s safe to say Chandler’s WWE flirtation isn’t going away anytime soon.
