Matt Hardy Recalls Surprisingly Unusual Autograph Request During TV Insider Interview

After decades on the road, Matt and Jeff Hardy have signed just about everything fans can think to put in front of them. But in a recent conversation with TV Insider’s Scott Fishman, the legendary brothers revealed that some requests still manage to catch them off guard.

Matt, in particular, singled out one item he’d been asked to sign that genuinely surprised him — a testament to just how creative, and occasionally bizarre, the Hardy faithful can be when it comes to memorabilia. The brothers have long been among the most recognizable names in professional wrestling, with a fanbase that has followed them across promotions and decades, so the fact that anything still raises an eyebrow speaks to the sheer variety of objects fans bring to signings.

For Matt and Jeff, autograph sessions are a well-worn ritual. Whether at conventions, meet-and-greets, or live events, the Hardys have always maintained a strong connection with their audience — a relationship built through some of the most iconic matches in WWE history, their TNA run, and more recent stints in AEW. That longevity means their signatures carry real sentimental weight for a wide cross-section of wrestling fans, from those who grew up watching them leap off ladders at WrestleMania to younger viewers who discovered them later in their careers.

The exchange is a light but genuine reminder that even veterans with the Hardys’ experience still find moments of surprise in fan interactions — and that wrestling’s devoted fanbase never quite runs out of imagination when it comes to honoring the people they love.
