JD McDonagh Defends Current Judgment Day Lineup

JD McDonagh is standing up for the current version of Judgment Day, pushing back on the idea that WWE’s longstanding villainous faction has grown weaker over time.

Appearing as a guest on the podcast Off The Ropes, McDonagh addressed criticism of the group’s present roster, which now includes WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez and McDonagh himself. He made clear he doesn’t view this incarnation as the faction’s weakest, suggesting instead that this lineup deserves to be remembered among the strongest chapters in the group’s history.

Judgment Day has gone through numerous changes since its debut, cycling through members like Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest and Edge over the years, with the group constantly reshaping itself while remaining a fixture near the top of WWE’s championship picture. The current roster boasts two champions in Morgan and Mysterio, giving McDonagh’s comments some weight given the group’s continued presence in major title storylines.

McDonagh, who has been a steady member of the faction, has often been viewed as one of its more underappreciated pieces despite the group’s championship success under its current configuration. His comments reflect a broader confidence within the stable that, even with the shifting cast of characters, Judgment Day remains one of WWE’s most dominant factions rather than a diminished version of its former self.

With Morgan and Mysterio both holding titles and the group showing no signs of slowing down, McDonagh’s remarks serve as a reminder that Judgment Day’s current era, whatever comparisons fans want to draw to past lineups, is still very much thriving at the top of the card.
