Eric Bischoff Endorses Road Dogg for TNA Creative Role, Dismisses Tommy Dreamer’s Experience

Eric Bischoff has weighed in on the backstage creative shakeup at TNA Wrestling, and he isn’t mincing words about the outgoing head of creative.

Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff addressed Tommy Dreamer’s departure from his position leading TNA’s creative team and made clear he doesn’t view Dreamer as particularly qualified for the role in the first place. “Any experience he has is extremely limited,” Bischoff said of Dreamer, casting doubt on the ECW legend’s suitability for running a major promotion’s creative operation.

In Dreamer’s place, Bischoff threw his support behind Road Dogg — the former D-Generation X member and longtime WWE producer Brian James — pointing to Road Dogg’s significantly deeper background working with television networks as a key reason he’d be a stronger fit for the job. The distinction matters in pro wrestling, where the ability to navigate the demands of a TV rights partner has become as important as understanding in-ring storytelling.

The comments arrive amid a period of turbulence for TNA, which has been working to stabilize its creative direction after a stretch of behind-the-scenes uncertainty.
