Bully Ray: Kendal Grey’s Win Over Natalya Is the Biggest of Her Career

Bully Ray isn’t mincing words when it comes to Kendal Grey’s future in WWE.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer offered high praise for the NXT Women’s Champion following her victory over Natalya on the July 7, 2026 episode of NXT, calling it the most significant win of Grey’s career to date.

What made Bully Ray’s endorsement particularly pointed was his insistence that context matters. He wasn’t simply saying Grey beat a legend — he was saying she beat the best version of that legend.

“I would venture to say that tonight was the biggest win of Kendal Grey’s career,” Bully Ray said. “Nattie, with as many Guinness Book of World Records championships as she has, a book, and even her own segment here on Busted Open, lost tonight. She lost to the future of women’s wrestling. Kendal Grey didn’t beat Natalya, she beat Nattie Neidhart. She beat the version of Nattie that Nattie is most proud of these days. She beat the version of Nattie that’s been kicking chicks’ ass left and right. She beat the Nattie that defeated Jada Parker. She beat the Nattie that prides herself on humbling women. It’s a big win for Kendall. And if you don’t think Kendal Grey is the future, you’re wrong.”

The distinction Bully Ray drew is a meaningful one. Natalya has been among the more prominent names on NXT in recent months, picking up notable wins and positioning herself as someone who takes pride in putting younger talent in their place. For Grey to defeat that version of Natalya rather than a faded or transitional one adds real weight to the result.

With the win, Grey continues to build her case as the standard-bearer of NXT’s women’s division. Bully Ray’s glowing assessment only adds to the momentum surrounding one of the brand’s most compelling young stars.
