Big Cass Set to Return to WWE on August 3 RAW After Vignette Airs

WWE made Big Cass’ return official when a mysterious video package aired during the July 13 edition of RAW, confirming that the 7-foot star is headed back to the company for the first time since 2018.

The vignette leaned heavily into the nostalgia of Cass’ original WWE run, using blurred archive footage and shots of fans wearing Enzo & Cass merchandise. A narrator posed two pointed questions throughout the package — “What happens when the whole world calls you ‘Can’t Miss’?” and “What happens when the whole world is wrong?” — before closing on Cass’ silhouette alongside the date 8/3, pinpointing his return to the August 3 episode of RAW, the first show following SummerSlam.

The timing is noteworthy. The post-SummerSlam RAW has long served as a traditional launching pad for new storylines and character resets, making it a logical stage for Cass to reintroduce himself to a WWE audience.

Since leaving WWE, Cass rebuilt his career in AEW, competing initially as W. Morrissey before rebranding as Big Bill. He had a productive run with the promotion, capturing the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Ricky Starks and later working as part of Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree faction.

Earlier reports had suggested WWE held interest in reuniting both Cass and his longtime partner Enzo Amore, but the vignette made no mention of Enzo and appears to position Cass as a solo act — at least for now. WWE has given no indication that anything beyond a Cass solo return is currently planned.

Whether he comes back as a dominant singles competitor or eventually crosses paths with his former tag partner, Big Cass will be back under the WWE banner when RAW hits the air on August 3.
