AEW Collision Preview: Three Titles on the Line in Boston

AEW Collision returns to Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway on Saturday, July 18, with three championships up for grabs just eight days before the promotion’s first-ever Redemption event in Montreal.

Hikaru Shida makes her second defense of the TBS Championship against Queen Aminata, who is chasing her first AEW title after Shida turned on Aminata’s friend Harley Cameron following last week’s title defense. Aminata, who has now challenged for the TBS Championship four times, has vowed this is the night she finally walks out with the belt.

TNT Champion Kevin Knight defends against AR Fox, a former ROH World Television Champion, just four days before Knight is due to defend the title against Darby Allin on Dynamite. The match came together after Knight needled Fox following Fox’s recent win on ROH television. Meanwhile, ROH World Champion Bandido puts his title on the line against Adam Priest, his first challenger in roughly a year, ahead of Bandido’s AEW International Championship showdown with Kyle Fletcher next week at Redemption.

Mercedes Moné, fresh off a Dynamite main event win alongside Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion, returns to her hometown crowd with something to say, with AEW Women’s World Championship business looming 43 days out at All In: London. Will Ospreay squares off with longtime friend and training partner Adam Brooks to stay sharp ahead of a potential clash with Kenny Omega at All In: London.

Tommaso Ciampa, fresh off accepting Chris Jericho’s challenge for Redemption, called for a hometown fight and got an answer from The Rascalz’ Myron Reed. Jack Perry, following his re-signing with AEW, meets former ROH World TV Champion Nick Wayne for the first time. ROH Women’s World Champion Athena is also in action, along with the Brawling Birds and the Don Callis Family, who face AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, Ospreay and Jon Moxley in a trios match on next week’s Dynamite in Nashville.

Collision airs Saturday, July 18 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and HBO Max.
