Maxxine Dupri is relishing her new life as a villain in WWE, saying she’s finally able to release years of pent-up frustration on the fans now that she’s turned heel. Earlier this summer, Dupri walked away from Alpha Academy to align herself with The Vision, joining Austin Theory and the rest of the group led by Seth Rollins’ stable.

According to Dupri, the shift has been freeing rather than daunting. She’s framed it as payback of sorts, joking that fans spent three years getting under her skin and now she finally gets to return the favor as a heel. It’s the kind of candid, self-aware comment that fits her personality, and it suggests WWE creative has found a tone for the character that clicks with her.

Dupri’s move to The Vision is one of the more notable subplots to come out of Rollins’ ever-expanding faction. What began as a vehicle built around Rollins and Bron Breakker has steadily added pieces — Bronson Reed, and now Theory and Dupri — turning it into one of the deeper stables on the roster. Adding Dupri gives the group a distinct dynamic, since she brings a different kind of presence than the group’s bigger, more physical members. Her pairing with Theory also continues a storyline thread that dates back to their time together in Alpha Academy, giving the heel turn some narrative continuity rather than feeling like a random reshuffle.

For Dupri personally, this represents her first extended run as a straightforward heel on the main roster. She spent years as a background figure in Alpha Academy alongside Chad Gable and Otis before eventually stepping into a more prominent on-screen role, often playing the sympathetic or comedic foil. Turning heel opens up a very different toolkit — attitude, condescension, smugness — and from her comments, it sounds like she’s embracing the chance to lean into it fully rather than treating it as a temporary swerve.

The bigger question now is how WWE plans to use her within The Vision’s ongoing storylines. Rollins’ faction has been positioned as a dominant, almost bullying presence across Raw, and every new addition changes the math for whoever eventually has to confront the group. Whether Dupri factors into angles involving Rollins and Breakker directly, or primarily operates in tandem with Theory, will say a lot about how much creative trusts her to carry heat on her own.

Either way, her comfort with the new role is a good sign for a character who could easily have felt like an afterthought in a stable already stacked with bigger names. If she continues to sound this energized about the assignment, don’t be surprised if Dupri’s heel work becomes a more prominent part of The Vision’s presentation in the weeks ahead.
