Myles Borne Puts NXT North American Title On Line Vs. Kam Hendrix

WWE NXT has a stacked lineup heading into next week’s episode, with NXT North American Champion Myles Borne set to defend his title against Kam Hendrix on the July 28 show.

The match was set in motion after Borne, flanked by Tavion Heights, approached Robert Stone backstage to request an NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity for the duo. Stone agreed to grant the shot, but with a catch — Borne would first have to get past Hendrix, who had spent the night trying to sidestep a confrontation with Mason Rook. Stone made clear that if Borne retains his North American title against Hendrix, he and Heights will get their tag title match the week after.

Also added to the card is a rematch between Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels. After receiving a replacement tooth from Danhausen earlier in the show, Hill went to Stone’s office to request another shot at Angels, cryptically warning that “the fog was coming in” before snapping back to his usual cheerful demeanor and helping himself to Stone’s snack of KFC Popcorn Chicken once the match was official.

Elsewhere on the card, Lizzy Rain will face Izzi Dame, a bout that stems from Rain’s interference in the match between Niko Vance and Shawn Spears. OTM and Birthright round out the announced matches, giving next week’s episode four confirmed bouts heading in.
