Trick Williams Eyes Future Mixed Tag Matches With Lash Legend

Trick Williams has some ideas for what comes next for him and his wife, Lash Legend, inside the ring together. The NXT and WWE personality recently floated a pair of potential mixed tag team matchups he’d like to see happen alongside Legend down the line, teaming up as a couple against other real-life pairings in the industry.

Williams and Legend have been together for years and recently tied the knot, but their on-screen history as a duo has been limited to only a handful of brief appearances together. Despite that, it’s clear Williams has been thinking about ways to change that and give fans more of the two of them sharing the ring — this time as opponents rather than just spectators to each other’s runs.

Both Williams and Legend have carved out their own identities on WWE television, with Williams building momentum as one of the promotion’s brighter young stars coming out of NXT, and Legend developing her own presence with a confident, larger-than-life persona. A mixed tag match pairing them against another couple would be a natural way for WWE to spotlight their real-life relationship without pulling either of them away from their singles ambitions.

Mixed tag matches involving real couples have become a periodic trend in WWE over the years, often used as a fun change of pace on undercards or as a storytelling device to add stakes when two pairs have been feuding both individually and as partners. Should Williams’ pitch ever come to fruition, it would mark one of the more notable on-screen showcases yet for him and Legend as a tandem.

For now, there’s no indication such a match is currently planned, but Williams’ comments suggest he’d be open to exploring that avenue with WWE creative in the future. Fans will have to wait and see if his suggestions ever make their way from talk into an actual bout on WWE programming.
