Charlotte Flair, Giulia, Lash Legend Set For MITB Qualifier

Friday Night SmackDown on September 25 features a three-way Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match, with Charlotte Flair, Giulia and Lash Legend all vying for a spot in the ladder match at WWE Money in the Bank 2026, scheduled for October 10 in New Orleans.

Whoever wins gets a shot at retrieving the briefcase and the guaranteed championship opportunity that comes with it, so all three women have plenty of incentive heading into the bout.

Giulia arrives in the match with unfinished business elsewhere on the roster. She’s been locked in an ongoing feud with Blake Monroe since Monroe’s SmackDown debut in June, and the two have brawled repeatedly without ever getting a sanctioned match. Monroe reportedly gave Giulia a dental injury during their skirmishes, and with that score still unsettled, there’s a real chance Monroe could find a way to interfere and keep Giulia from advancing.

Charlotte Flair brings a different kind of storyline stakes to the match. Despite being a 14-time WWE Women’s Champion and two-time Royal Rumble winner, Flair has never actually won a Money in the Bank ladder match, an odd gap in an otherwise stacked résumé. She has, however, been on the receiving end of plenty of successful cash-ins over the years. A win here would set up a chance for her to finally close that particular chapter and add the one accolade that’s eluded her.

Then there’s Lash Legend, who has quickly built momentum since arriving on the main roster. Whether working singles matches or tag team competition, Legend has racked up notable victories and established herself as a legitimate threat any time she steps into the ring. That track record makes her arguably the biggest question mark for her two more decorated opponents to deal with, and a real case can be made that she enters as the favorite heading into the bout.

This qualifier fits into a Money in the Bank build that’s been unfolding gradually across WWE’s weekly shows, with the women’s side of the ladder match picture still very much in flux. A win for Flair would tap into her long career-spanning storyline about finally cashing in on her own terms rather than being victimized by someone else’s briefcase. A win for Giulia would let her escape the Monroe drama, at least temporarily, and pivot toward a bigger stage. And a win for Legend would mark a significant step up in her push, positioning her as a genuine featured player in New Orleans rather than just a rising undercard name.

With the Money in the Bank pay-per-view just over two weeks away, SmackDown’s qualifier adds another piece to a women’s ladder match field that’s shaping up to be unpredictable. Whoever comes out on top will carry real momentum into New Orleans, and fans won’t have to wait long to find out who that will be.
