WWE NXT aired on July 7, 2026, delivering a stacked evening of championship contender matches, title defense action, and several notable post-match angles.

The show opened with a statement from Kali Armstrong, who took out both former NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice and former NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan in a dramatic segment.

In tag team action, Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux emerged as the new No. 1 Contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championship after surviving a chaotic Fatal 4-Way Match. DarkState’s Osiris Griffin and Cutler James were derailed when Saquon Shugars appeared and confronted Dion Lennox before slipping away into the darkness, leaving DarkState rattled. Neither BirthRight nor OTM could capitalize on the chaos, but Legacy and Van Dux seized the moment, finishing off Uriah Connors with simultaneous top rope splashes to earn the victory.

Keanu Carver picked up an impressive singles win over Tank Ledger, who had been seeking revenge following a table spot at NXT Great American Bash. A thunderous dropkick from Carver left Ledger stunned, and a follow-up Spinebuster sealed the outcome.

Newcomer Layla Diggs turned heads in the NXT Women’s North American Championship No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match, overcoming Lizzy Rain, Izzi Dame, and Thea Hail. Rain controlled much of the action until Hail intervened with a Thunderstruck. Dame then drilled Rain with a Busaiko Knee, but Diggs pounced immediately, connecting with a Moonsault to pin her way into contendership.

Niko Vance returned to the win column against Shiloh Hill, though the finish came under unusual circumstances. Tristan Angels appeared at ringside and swiped a tooth Hill had placed on the apron, distracting Hill long enough for Vance to land a flying back elbow for the win. The post-match brought more drama as Shawn Spears stormed the ring and attacked his former protege with a steel chair.

The main event saw NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey successfully defend her title against Nattie in a hard-fought match. Wren Sinclair was attacked at ringside by Nattie’s allies Karmen Petrovic and Evolve Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons, though Lola Vice rushed out to even the odds. Inside the ring, Grey survived a Sharpshooter, escaping via rope break before finishing Nattie with her Shades of Grey finisher to retain the championship. After the bell, Jaida Parker hit the ring and laid out both Petrovic and Lyons, sending a message directed at Nattie.
