Steve Maclin Defends BRCW Heavyweight Title Against Matt Riddle at Summer Smash on August 16

Boca Raton Championship Wrestling has locked in the full card for its Summer Smash event, scheduled for August 16 at The Studio at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida — and the headline matchup is a big one.

Steve Maclin will put the BRCW Heavyweight Championship on the line against Matt Riddle in the main event, giving the Florida-based promotion a marquee attraction that should turn heads. Maclin has carved out a reputation as one of independent wrestling’s most reliable top-tier performers since departing TNA, while Riddle’s return to the indie circuit has generated consistent buzz wherever he’s appeared.

Beyond the main event, Summer Smash is shaping up to be a loaded night. BRCW has confirmed eight matches in total for the card, with five championship belts set to be contested across the evening. That kind of title saturation signals the promotion is treating this event as a major showcase rather than a standard house show.

The Studio at Mizner Park has served as a home base for BRCW, and with a card of this scope — multiple titles, a headline pairing featuring two well-known names — Summer Smash looks like one of the more ambitious indie events on the Florida calendar this summer. Wrestling fans in the South Florida area will want to mark August 16 on their schedules.
