Young Bucks vs. Sky Team vs. Unbound Co. Three-Way Tag Match Set for AEW Forbidden Door

A three-way tag team match has been officially announced for AEW Forbidden Door, pitting AEW’s Young Bucks against CMLL’s Sky Team and NJPW’s Unbound Co. in what shapes up to be one of the most internationally loaded bouts on the card.

The match brings together talent from three different promotions under the Forbidden Door banner, which has become an annual showcase for the AEW, NJPW, and CMLL partnership. The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson, have been central figures in AEW since the company’s founding and need little introduction in this context. Sky Team represents CMLL, the storied Mexican promotion whose luchadores have added a distinct flavor to previous Forbidden Door events. Unbound Co. rounds out the field flying the NJPW flag, making this a true cross-promotional collision.

Forbidden Door will air as a pay-per-view on HBO Max. The hashtag accompanying the announcement referenced the event as Forbidden Door with an 8ET/5PT start time, indicating the show is scheduled for next Sunday.

Three-way tag matches of this nature are a natural fit for Forbidden Door, allowing multiple promotions to get representation in a single high-profile slot while delivering the kind of fast-paced, style-blending action that has defined the event since its inception. With the Young Bucks involved, expect the match to carry significant weight on the card — the duo has consistently been positioned in prominent spots at major AEW pay-per-views.

Forbidden Door continues to grow as one of the most unique events on the pro wrestling calendar, and this three-way tag announcement only adds to the intrigue heading into fight night.
