WWE Setting Up Recruitment Booth at 2026 Hawaii Fit Expo

WWE is casting a wide net for the next generation of talent, and its search is heading to the islands. The company is set to have a recruitment booth at the 2026 Hawaii Fit Expo, according to a report from local Hawaiian news outlet KHON2 News.

The expo, billed as a major fitness gathering in Hawaii, will give WWE a direct opportunity to scout athletes from a region not always on the traditional pro wrestling pipeline. Setting up a physical presence at a fitness event fits WWE’s long-standing approach of targeting athletes from backgrounds outside of wrestling — bodybuilders, amateur wrestlers, powerlifters, and other strength-and-conditioning competitors have historically been among the profiles the company seeks out during open recruitment efforts.

The news comes at a busy stretch for WWE on the competitive side, with two premium live events on the immediate horizon — Night of Champions and NXT Great American Bash both slated for this weekend. Still, the talent development side of the operation rarely slows down regardless of what’s happening on the main card calendar, and scouting initiatives like this reflect how seriously the company takes building its pipeline for the future.

Hawaii has produced notable names in combat sports and professional wrestling over the years, so there’s genuine logic to planting a flag at a high-traffic fitness gathering there. Whether the booth leads to any signings down the road remains to be seen, but for any aspiring performer in the islands with the right athletic profile, the 2026 Hawaii Fit Expo could represent a rare shot at catching WWE’s attention in their own backyard.
