Victoria Confirms She Is Retired from Pro Wrestling for Good

Lisa Marie Varon has put any speculation to rest: her wrestling career is finished. Best known to fans as Victoria in WWE and Tara in TNA, Varon confirmed her retirement during a WhatNot livestream on Friday, July 11, 2026, speaking with characteristic bluntness about where things stand.

“No, no. I retired. I retired,” Varon said. “My body hurts, you guys. I still do appearances, and WhatNot is my new favorite thing.”

Varon’s final match came in January 2023, when she teamed with Gisele Shaw in a TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship challenge against Jessicka and Taya Valkyrie. Though she had originally stepped away from the business in 2019, she turned back the clock with an appearance in the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble — her last WWE outing — where she lasted just over seven minutes before being eliminated by Shayna Baszler.

Over the course of a career that began with training at Ultimate Pro Wrestling in 2000 and included developmental stops in Memphis, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and Heartland Championship Wrestling, Varon built one of the most decorated résumés in women’s wrestling history. She made her WWE television debut on Sunday Night Heat in 2002 and went on to hold the WWE Women’s Championship twice. Her WrestleMania moments stand among the era’s most memorable: a Triple Threat title match at WrestleMania XIX alongside Jazz against Trish Stratus, followed by a Title vs. Hair victory over Molly Holly at WrestleMania XX.

After leaving WWE in 2009, Varon thrived in TNA, capturing the Knockouts Championship five times and the Knockouts Tag Team Championship alongside Brooke Tessmacher. The Cauliflower Alley Club honored her with its Women’s Wrestling Award in 2015.

With a career spanning over two decades and championships across two major promotions, Varon leaves behind a legacy that helped define an entire generation of women’s wrestling.
