Tom Brady Says He’s Waiting On WWE Storyline From Nick Khan

Tom Brady says he’d be open to popping up on WWE television, but he’s waiting for the call.

Appearing on Cody Rhodes’ podcast, What Do You Want To Talk About?, Brady was asked about the possibility of a WWE angle involving him. The retired NFL quarterback made clear the interest is there, though nothing has materialized yet. “I need to get an invite,” Brady said. “I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I’m retired…”

Brady’s comments come with him sitting across from Rhodes, who as WWE’s reigning Undisputed Champion has plenty of pull with the creative direction of the company he now represents at the top of the card. Khan, WWE’s President, has been credited with helping broker several celebrity and crossover appearances in recent years as the company continues to lean into mainstream star power around premium live events.

Brady is no stranger to the wrestling world’s orbit — he’s a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and has been a visible sports and entertainment crossover figure since retiring from football, showing up in broadcast booths, commercials and now, apparently, on wrestling podcasts floating the idea of a WWE cameo. Whether that translates into an actual on-screen appearance remains to be seen, and Brady didn’t offer specifics on what kind of storyline he’d envision or when it might happen.

For now, it’s just a name-drop and a nudge in Khan’s direction from one of the most recognizable athletes in American sports. Given WWE’s recent history of pulling in high-profile guest stars for big shows, it wouldn’t be a shock if the conversation continues behind the scenes. Whether Brady actually ends up in the mix on WWE programming is a question only Khan and company can answer.
