TNA Adds Indi Hartwell vs. Vicious Vicki Venuto and Three-Way Tag Match to July 9 Impact Card

TNA has rounded out the card for the July 9 edition of Impact, officially adding two matches to a show that was taped at the Broadview Center in Albany, New York.

First up, the Knockouts Television Championship Tournament grows with another first-round matchup: former WWE standout Indi Hartwell will square off against Vicious Vicki Venuto. The winner advances in the bracket as TNA works toward crowning its inaugural Knockouts TV Champion. Hartwell and Venuto join an already-announced first-round slate that includes Jada Stone vs. Alisha Edwards and Jody Threat vs. Gabby Forza.

The second addition is a three-way tag team match pitting The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch) against The System (Brian Myers & Bear Bronson) and the team of Ricky Sosa and Leon Slater. The match carries some real edge heading in — The System recently extended an offer to Sosa to join their faction, and Sosa turned them down flat. Eddie Edwards wasted no time delivering a warning in response.

“Ricky Sosa, Mr. Bang Bang, you are new here, so I will tell you, I will educate you,” Edwards said. “You made a very, very big mistake turning The System down. And now, now, you’re going to pay for those mistakes.”

The threat sets up what figures to be a heated dynamic in the triple-threat, with The System almost certainly focused on making an example of Sosa while The Righteous look to exploit the chaos.

Beyond those two additions, the July 9 Impact also features the TNA World Tag Team Championship on the line as The Hardys — Jeff and Matt — defend against The Great Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch), plus a Knockouts World Championship bout with Xia Brookside putting the title up against Lei Ying Lee. It shaping up to be a stacked hour of television when Impact airs on Thursday, July 9.
