WWE’s plans for SummerSlam 2026 are moving forward without interruption, even as the scheduled venue deals with structural repairs. SummerSlam 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2 at the stadium — the same venue that served as home to Super Bowl LII back in 2018. The roof repair work, while newsworthy given its timing, will not affect WWE’s booking of the facility or the event’s two-night format.

Minneapolis will be hosting SummerSlam for the first time when the event rolls into town next August. US Bank Stadium is one of the more modern and expansive NFL venues in the country, with a capacity that can comfortably accommodate the kind of massive crowds WWE draws for its premium live events. The decision to stretch SummerSlam across two nights continues a trend WWE has leaned into with its biggest shows, giving the company more real estate on the card and the ability to sell more tickets overall.

With the roof situation confirmed to be a non-issue for the event, attention can shift back to what WWE will actually put inside the building. SummerSlam has historically been one of the company’s most significant events of the calendar year, and the 2026 edition figures to be no different given the scale of the venue and the two-night presentation.
