Sol Ruca Sets Sights on Charlotte Flair After Fulfilling IYO SKY Dream Match

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca has a new dream match in mind — and it’s with Charlotte Flair.

Appearing on the Nikki & Brie Show, Sol was asked who she’d most like to face now that she’s holding gold on the main roster. Her answer pointed squarely at the Queen. While Sol and Charlotte have shared the ring in multi-person settings, a true one-on-one encounter has never happened, and that’s exactly what Sol wants to change.

“Well my dream match was IYO for a really long time, and I luckily had a match against her that was really cool, and I would love to have many, many more with her,” Sol said. “Now that I’ve had my match with IYO, I really want to have a singles match with Charlotte Flair. We’ve had multi-person matches where we’ve been in the ring together and have had a few moments together, but we haven’t had that one on one, and I think that’s my next goal.”

Sol’s rapid rise on the main roster has been nothing short of remarkable. In just her first two matches after being called up to Raw, she faced Liv Morgan and IYO SKY — the two finalists from the Queen of the Ring Tournament. She went on to capture the Women’s Intercontinental Championship by defeating Becky Lynch at WWE Clash in Italy, then successfully defended it against Lyra Valkyria on Raw.

While a Charlotte Flair clash remains a future aspiration, Sol’s more immediate championship picture may be coming into focus. On the most recent episode of Raw, Liv Morgan directed Raquel Rodriguez’s attention toward Sol and the Intercontinental title, seemingly positioning Raquel as the next challenger in line.

With Lyra Valkyria now entangled in a rivalry with Bayley following a heel turn, and Roxanne Perez potentially on a collision course with Liv Morgan down the road, Raquel appears to be the most logical next opponent for the champion. But if Sol continues to hold onto the title, a showdown with Charlotte Flair may eventually become more than just a dream.
