Silas Mason To Defend NWA Title Against Carson Drake At NWA 78

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship will be on the line at NWA 78 when champion ‘Thrillbilly’ Silas Mason defends his title against Carson Drake.

The match is the latest addition to the card for the National Wrestling Alliance’s 78th Anniversary Show, scheduled for Saturday, July 25 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. The promotion continues to fill out the lineup for what stands as one of its marquee events of the year, and putting the top title on the line adds another significant stake to an already stacked show.

Mason has held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship as part of a run that has made him one of the promotion’s top stars, and a successful defense against Drake would keep that streak alive on one of the NWA’s biggest stages of the year. Drake, for his part, gets a chance to make a statement by capturing the promotion’s top prize in front of the Philadelphia crowd.

More details on the rest of the NWA 78 card are expected to be announced as the show approaches. Fans looking to see the title match live, or via NWA’s streaming outlets, won’t have to wait long — the show goes down this coming Saturday.
