Royal Rumble 2027 Set for Arizona’s State Farm Stadium

WWE has locked in the host site for Royal Rumble 2027, confirming on Tuesday that the show will land at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. It marks the state’s first Rumble since 2019 and comes as part of a new multi-year partnership between TKO and the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance that will also bring UFC, Zuffa Boxing, and Professional Bull Riders events to the region.

State Farm Stadium, home to the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, already has a wrestling pedigree — it hosted WrestleMania 26 back in 2010 and has been a regular stop for major sporting spectacles like the Super Bowl. Arizona’s last Rumble came in 2019 at Chase Field in Phoenix, so this marks a return to the desert after an eight-year gap.

The announcement doubled as a showcase for the broader TKO umbrella. Arizona native Nikki Bella and interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green were on hand, alongside UFC President Dana White and fighters Brandon Moreno and Sean O’Malley, plus representatives from Professional Bull Riders. White himself teased the news on social media, writing, “In February, WWE will bring one of its biggest annual events to Arizona, the Royal Rumble.”

Notably, WWE has confirmed the event for February 2027 rather than the traditional late-January slot fans are used to. That shift isn’t unprecedented — the company nudged the Rumble into early February as recently as 2025 — but it does suggest the promotion may be settling into a more flexible calendar window for its first premium live event of the year rather than treating the last Saturday in January as sacred.

Royal Rumble’s placement matters beyond just geography. It’s the traditional launching pad for the road to WrestleMania, and this edition will kick off the build toward WrestleMania 43, which WWE has already slated for Saudi Arabia in April 2027. Neither event has a firm date yet, but locking in the Rumble’s location this far out gives WWE and its partners plenty of runway to sell tickets, build travel packages, and lean into the crossover appeal of the TKO family of brands sharing the market.

The timing and location also reinforce how central Arizona has become to TKO’s live-event strategy, with UFC, boxing, and bull riding all part of the new regional push. For WWE, returning to a stadium that already has WrestleMania history attached gives the Rumble an extra layer of prestige, and it sets up a natural narrative thread for whichever Superstars punch their ticket to Saudi Arabia by outlasting 29 others in the ring.

Expect more specifics — including the exact date and eventually a full match card — to trickle out as WWE gets closer to the show. For now, the destination is set, and the countdown to WrestleMania 43 has its official starting point.
