The National Wrestling Alliance is venturing into reality television, announcing a new competition series called Into The Fire that will air on Comet TV later in 2026.
NWA national promoter Bryan Idol broke the news during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, revealing that the show will give aspiring wrestlers — regardless of experience level — a shot at earning an actual NWA roster contract. The process kicks off with an open casting call before the field is trimmed to eight finalists, who will then compete throughout the series for that coveted spot.
“We at NWA will be debuting a new television show on Comet,” Idol said. “I’m not sure the exact release date. The details will be coming soon. The name of the show is ‘Into The Fire.’ It’s gonna be an open casting call. It’s a competition show. It’s gonna come down to eight competitors and you’re gonna get a spot in the NWA, and so, this is a big thing and we’re very happy that Comet picked this up.”
Idol also noted that NWA Powerrr has been performing well on the network, making Comet an established home for NWA content heading into this new venture. Notably, the promotion confirmed that no prior professional wrestling experience is required to apply, and submissions are open to both men and women. Additional details on how to submit an application are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Into The Fire represents a notable expansion of the NWA’s television footprint and a creative approach to roster building — one that could surface fresh talent from outside the traditional wrestling pipeline. Anyone interested in competing is encouraged to monitor NWA’s official channels for submission information as it becomes available.
