NJPW Dominion Title Changes, Big TNA Creative Shake-Up, and UFC Freedom 250 Fallout Highlighted in Latest Observer Newsletter

The June 22, 2026 issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter arrives as a packed edition, covering a busy stretch across combat sports and professional wrestling that gave fans plenty to process heading into the summer.

NJPW’s Dominion pay-per-view is among the centerpieces of this week’s issue, with Dave Meltzer breaking down a card that produced multiple championship changes. Dominion has historically been one of New Japan’s most significant events on the calendar, and this year’s edition appears to have lived up to that billing with what’s described as a slew of new titleholders emerging from the show.

On the professional wrestling side, TNA is also a major focus, with the newsletter diving into significant creative changes within the promotion. The specifics of those shifts are detailed in the full issue, and the framing suggests the changes are substantial enough to meaningfully affect the direction of the product going forward.

Rounding out the issue is an extensive recap of UFC Freedom 250, which Meltzer describes as a historic event that generated notable news both during and after the card. The newsletter goes into full detail on results as well as the surrounding storylines that made the show a talking point across combat sports media.

With NJPW in the midst of its post-Dominion landscape, TNA apparently charting a new creative course, and the UFC’s summer season generating its own headlines, this edition of the Observer reflects just how much is happening across the broader combat sports world right now.
