MLW and Panini Launch First MLW Trading Card Set

Major League Wrestling has its own dedicated trading card release for the first time, as the promotion and Panini America unveiled 2026 Panini Major League Wrestling Ring Royalty on Monday, July 27. The hobby set, now on sale, is the first Panini product built entirely around MLW talent rather than sharing space with other combat sports brands.

The checklist leans on the current MLW roster, featuring names like Killer Kross, Mistico, Shotzi, Satoshi Kojima, the Good Brothers, Scarlett Bordeaux and Matt Riddle. But Ring Royalty also digs into wrestling’s broader history, with collectors able to chase autographs from Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Kurt Angle. Premium insert sets carry names like Blank Slate, Le Cinque Più Belle, State of the Art and Paint by Number, while an MLW Highlights subset is dedicated to memorable moments from the company’s history.

MLW Founder and CEO Court Bauer framed the release as a full-circle moment for a promotion that has built its identity around old-school wrestling presentation and nostalgia. “Growing up, wrestling lived in two places: the arena and the collection,” Bauer said. “The magazines, the cards, the must-haves you traded with your friends until the corners wore soft. Ring Royalty brings that tradition to MLW. Panini has built the gold standard in collectibles, and now the fights, the champions and the moments that define this league belong in the hands of the fans.”

Ring Royalty will be sold through hobby shops, Panini’s own website, and major retailers including Walmart, Amazon and Target — the kind of wide distribution that matters for a promotion still working to grow its mainstream footprint outside the wrestling bubble.

The release is the latest step in a partnership that began in summer 2025, when MLW and Panini first teamed up on memorabilia and collectible stickers. Since June 2025, Panini Instant has produced cards tied to individual MLW live events, and MLW wrestlers previously appeared in Panini’s Combat Anthology box alongside boxing and MMA figures. Ring Royalty upgrades that relationship into a standalone flagship product, putting MLW in the same tier of dedicated hobby releases as promotions like WWE and AEW, both of which have long-running Panini or Topps deals of their own.

For a promotion that has spent years positioning itself as a scrappy, tradition-minded alternative in a crowded wrestling landscape, landing a dedicated card line is a meaningful visibility play. Trading cards put a company’s brand and top stars into retail aisles and hobby shops nationwide, reaching potential fans who may never watch a live MLW broadcast but will flip through a pack at Walmart. Pairing current stars with legends like Hogan, Flair and Angle also signals MLW’s continued effort to link itself to wrestling’s established lineage rather than existing purely on the fringes.

Whether Ring Royalty becomes an annual tradition will likely depend on how collectors respond to this first release, but for now MLW has something it didn’t have before: its own gold-standard hobby product sitting on shelves next to the industry’s biggest names.
