Mark Briscoe Heaps Praise on Lio Rush, Eyes New ROH TV Champion as Potential Conglomeration Addition

Mark Briscoe has made no secret of his admiration for Lio Rush, and with Rush currently riding the highest wave of his ROH run, the timing of the compliment carries real weight.

Briscoe recently spoke about Rush in glowing terms, saying he’s a big fan of what the man known as the Blackheart has been doing. Beyond the flattery, Briscoe went a step further — he floated the idea that Rush could be a fit for The Conglomeration, the faction Briscoe leads in ROH alongside fellow veterans Kyle O’Reilly and Mike Bennett, among others.

The comments come on the heels of one of the biggest moments of Rush’s ROH career. At ROH Global Wars Cincinnati, Rush defeated AR Fox to capture the ROH TV Championship, a title win that put an exclamation point on what has been a compelling and career-defining reinvention. The Blackheart character has given Rush a darker, more menacing edge, and the championship adds tangible proof that the creative direction is paying off.

Whether Briscoe’s interest in Rush amounts to anything more than admiration remains to be seen. The Conglomeration has been one of ROH’s most prominent factions, and adding a newly crowned champion with Rush’s momentum would give the group a significant boost.
