Marcus Mathers Credits Nattie and TJ Wilson Relationship After WWE ID Signing

Marcus Mathers has been making the most of his connection to one of wrestling’s most respected training couples. Since signing with the WWE ID program in 2024, the young independent standout has attended multiple dungeon sessions with TJ Wilson and Nattie, and by all accounts, those visits have amounted to far more than just mat time.

Speaking on The Lazy Booking Podcast, Mathers expressed genuine gratitude for the bond he has developed with the pair, describing their setup as a place he always wants to return to. The sentiment speaks volumes about how seriously Mathers is approaching his development — Wilson in particular has earned a reputation as one of the sharpest technical minds in the business, and access to that kind of mentorship is something most independent wrestlers can only dream about.

The WWE ID program, which serves as a developmental partnership for talent not yet under a full WWE contract, has become a meaningful stepping stone for a number of up-and-coming wrestlers. For Mathers, the program appears to have opened a door not just to resources and visibility, but to genuine personal and professional relationships that are shaping his growth inside the ring.

With a connection to Wilson and Nattie that he clearly values deeply, Mathers seems well-positioned to keep developing at a high level. Whether that eventually translates into a full-time WWE role remains to be seen, but the foundation he is building suggests he is leaving nothing to chance.
