Lola Vice Credits Mr. Iguana for Guiding Her Lucha Libre Journey

Lola Vice has opened up about her experience working in AAA, giving significant credit to tag team partner Mr. Iguana for helping shape her development in lucha libre.

Speaking with Jimmy V3, Vice expressed that Iguana has helped her “so much” throughout her journey in the Mexican wrestling scene — a partnership that has clearly paid off inside the ring as well. Back in February 2026, the two captured the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships together, and as of this writing, they remain the reigning champions.

Vice’s transition into lucha libre has been one of the more intriguing stories in wrestling over the past year. Best known to stateside fans from her time in WWE NXT, she has embraced the AAA environment and, by her own account, leaned heavily on Iguana’s guidance to navigate the style and culture that come with working in Mexico. The fact that the pair are still holding gold several months into their run suggests the partnership has been a success both creatively and competitively.

Mr. Iguana is a fan-favorite figure in AAA known for his colorful persona and crowd connection, so having him as a mentor and in-ring partner has likely eased Vice’s integration into a promotion and fan base that can be demanding of newcomers. With the Mixed Tag Team Championships still around their waists, Vice and Iguana appear to have plenty of road left to run together in AAA.
