Logan Paul Says He Pitched Conor McGregor WWE Match to Bosses

Logan Paul says he has already made his case to WWE for a Conor McGregor match, revealing he texted company management about the idea shortly after McGregor’s latest UFC loss.

Paul made the comments during a live taping of his IMPAULSIVE podcast at Fanatics Fest, sitting alongside former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley. The conversation turned to McGregor’s uncertain fighting future, with O’Malley insisting the former two-division UFC champion still has another bout left in him. Paul was far more skeptical, suggesting McGregor has evolved into more of an entertainer than an active competitor at this stage of his career — which, in his eyes, makes a WWE run the logical next step.

“I texted my boss after Conor lost,” Paul said. “I was like, ‘Bro, Conor’s cooked. Do something with it. Make a bag. Let me fight him. Big WWE star versus big WWE star, because that’s what he is now.’” Paul added that his contact within WWE agreed, telling him he believes McGregor’s fighting days are over. Despite O’Malley pushing back, Paul remained doubtful, pointing to McGregor’s lingering knee issues.

The tone shifted considerably when the topic moved to Paddy Pimblett, who has previously threatened to injure Paul’s knee if the two ever met in the Octagon. Rather than brushing off the remark, Paul admitted he now takes it seriously after watching Pimblett submit Benoît Saint Denis. “I believe him. I think he would. We saw him do it to an elite fighter, bro,” Paul said, later calling Pimblett “a killer” riding a four-fight win streak against top competition.

Paul made clear that any hesitation isn’t about fear of Pimblett, but about WWE’s unwillingness to let one of its biggest crossover stars step into a real fight. “I don’t think WWE will let me fight anyone,” he said — a reminder that as Paul’s WWE profile continues to grow, a scripted showdown with McGregor may be a far more realistic outcome than an actual octagon meeting with Pimblett.
