Jey Uso Defends Bloodline Return, Says Fans Simply Won’t Understand: ‘It’s A Family Thing’

Jey Uso is pushing back on the fan backlash surrounding his decision to realign with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline following WrestleMania 42, and he’s not apologizing for it.

In an interview with Jackie Redmond, Jey addressed the widespread skepticism over his return to the group — a faction that spent years mistreating him on WWE television. His answer was blunt: outsiders don’t get it, and he’s not interested in explaining himself.

“I’m an equal, but in my culture we respect the Tribal Chief, the elders are it,” Jey said. “I don’t think the outside world understands that, it’s a family thing, y’all ain’t got nothing to do with it, y’all ain’t gonna understand.”

He went further, framing his loyalty in both cultural and purely professional terms. “Let’s talk wrestling; highest draw, box office draw, he is the damn man and I’m tired of y’all not putting respect on my family. Tribal Chief shows up, I got goosebumps when that music hits, eyes are glued to the screen. Name one person who else do it?”

Jey also took aim at several top names in WWE while making the case for his own standing. “I beat Seth as the World Champion, I made Gunther tap, I’m about to smack Oba too. They keep doubting me, but if you look at me, I don’t gotta say nothing, I’m in the trenches. I don’t care. That’s Jey Uso man.”

The remarks come at a pivotal moment for the Bloodline. Roman Reigns captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 by defeating CM Punk, and the faction has been reassembling around him since — the Usos back at his side, and Jacob Fatu forced to acknowledge him following WWE Clash In Italy.

With the group back in full force and Jey seemingly embracing his role as a true believer this time around, the Bloodline once again sits at the center of WWE’s landscape heading into what should be a busy summer.
