Jeff Jarrett Opens Up About Dark Side of the Ring TNA Documentary

Jeff Jarrett is ready for some long-buried TNA history to finally see the light of day.

Appearing on his My World podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed he had serious reservations before agreeing to participate in an upcoming Dark Side of the Ring episode centered on TNA Wrestling. “I’ve got mixed emotions,” Jarrett admitted. “Oh man, is this a good idea? Do I want to do this?”

Ultimately, he decided to go all in. Jarrett disclosed that he sat for between 16 and 18 hours of interviews with the documentary’s production team — a commitment that speaks to how deeply the filmmakers dug into the material. His wife Karen Jarrett added another seven to eight hours of her own interviews to the project. “I did 16, 17, 18 hours of interviews, and there’s, I mean, that’s just one person. Karen did seven or eight hours,” he said, adding that the crew left nothing on the table. “They do a deep dive.”

Jarrett says the documentary will surface information that has never been made public, with some of it stretching back more than two decades. “Some of this is 20-plus years old, is getting out there for the first time,” he said.

While Jarrett isn’t expecting universal acclaim once the episode airs, he is genuinely curious about the audience reaction — particularly from fans who may have had an incomplete picture of TNA’s turbulent history. “You can’t make everybody happy. I’ve never been that delusional,” he said. “But I am curious to hear the feedback, specifically on folks going, ‘Oh, I wasn’t aware of that,’ or ‘Maybe I did have that part of the story wrong.'”

For fans who have followed TNA’s complicated rise and fall over the years, the episode shapes up as one of the more anticipated installments in the Dark Side of the Ring catalog — especially with Jarrett apparently holding nothing back after all these years.
