Jeff Jarrett Calls for TNA to Bring Back Six-Sided Ring, Says He Expected It to Follow Name Revival

Jeff Jarrett has made his position clear: TNA should bring back its iconic six-sided ring, and he is surprised it has not happened already.

Appearing on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the TNA co-founder said he fully supports the return of the unique ring structure and did not mince words when asked about it. “About damn time. It’s something that I believe in,” Jarrett said.

Jarrett also tied the six-sided ring discussion to the broader identity questions TNA has grappled with over the years. In his view, the decision to rebrand as Impact Wrestling was a misstep that hurt the company’s connection with its audience. “You talk about the old adage, confuse them, you lose them, it just went south there,” he said of the name change era.

When TNA officially revived its original name in 2024, Jarrett said his instinct told him the ring would be next. “My gut told me, bringing the name back, I thought for sure the next thing that would follow would be a six sided ring.”

For Jarrett, the six-sided ring is inseparable from what made TNA matter. He pointed to the period between 2005 and 2009 as the company’s golden era, crediting the ring alongside other distinguishing pillars — the X Division, a strong tag team division, and the Knockouts division, which produced stars like Awesome Kong and Gail Kim. “Those formative years to me put a real stamp on the industry,” he said.

With TNA continuing to rebuild its brand identity, Jarrett’s comments add a prominent voice to the conversation about whether the promotion’s most visually distinctive feature deserves a permanent homecoming.
