Jack Perry’s AEW Contract Expiring Soon With No New Deal Signed

Jack Perry’s future in AEW is up in the air, with the former TNT Champion reportedly yet to put pen to paper on a new contract as his current deal approaches expiration.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Perry and AEW have been in talks since at least June, but no agreement has been finalized. Alvarez did not disclose a specific expiration date, though the deal is said to be running out very soon. Despite the lack of a signed contract, there is reportedly some optimism on both sides that a resolution can be reached.

AEW President Tony Khan has made clear he wants Perry to stick around. During a media call ahead of Forbidden Door 2026 last month, Khan spoke highly of Perry’s contributions to the company and expressed his intention to keep one of AEW’s premier homegrown talents on the roster going forward.

That endorsement carries weight when you consider what Perry has accomplished since coming up through AEW’s system. He has held the AEW World Tag Team Championship, the TNT Championship, and the National Championship — a resume that reflects his standing as one of the promotion’s more decorated young stars. His most recent in-ring appearance came on the June 24 edition of Dynamite, where he fell short against Zack Sabre Jr.

With no deal in place and the clock ticking, Perry’s contractual situation has quickly become one of AEW’s more pressing offseason storylines. Whether he remains in AEW or hits the open market could have significant ripple effects across the wrestling landscape.
