Eight Names Who Could Make Up a Star-Studded WWE Hall of Fame Class in 2027

With WrestleMania 2027 set to take place in Saudi Arabia, attention is already turning toward who might be honored at that year’s Hall of Fame ceremony — traditionally one of the most talked-about events of WrestleMania weekend. Here’s a look at eight names who make compelling cases for induction.

Topping the list of candidates is The Rock, easily one of the most decorated performers and crossover stars in wrestling history. The third-generation superstar remains connected to the company through his seat on the TKO Board of Directors, though he hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since the Elimination Chamber 2025 premium live event. His in-ring legacy alone would make him a first-ballot certainty.

John Cena retired from in-ring competition at the end of 2025 after submitting to GUNTHER, capping one of the most celebrated careers in WWE history. He has since transitioned into an ambassador role, appearing at WrestleMania 42 and Backlash 2026. Few names would be more deserving of a headline spot in the Hall.

Brock Lesnar also finds himself at what appears to be the end of the road. After losing to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 Night Two, Lesnar left his gloves and boots in the ring in a widely interpreted retirement gesture. He has continued to appear in a feud with Femi, but the curtain seems to be drawing on his legendary run.

Randy Orton is another active competitor who could receive the same treatment WWE gave Rey Mysterio in 2023. As a 14-time WWE World Champion with an unmatched catalog of iconic moments, Orton would be a natural headliner for any Hall class.

AJ Lee returned to WWE in September 2025 after more than a decade away, launched a notable rivalry with Becky Lynch, and captured the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship — the first woman to hold both that title and the Divas Championship. She has since announced time away following a loss to Lynch at WrestleMania 42, making a Hall of Fame nod a fitting way to honor her contributions to women’s wrestling.

The Hardy Boyz present an intriguing case. Matt and Jeff Hardy won the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2025 as part of WWE’s working relationship with TNA, where they re-signed in 2024. With their contracts reportedly set to expire at the end of 2026, a full-circle WWE Hall of Fame moment could be on the horizon.

Cyndi Lauper remains one of the more surprising omissions from the Hall given her central role in the Rock ‘N’ Wrestling era that helped put WWE on the map in the 1980s. The Celebrity wing would be a natural home.

Finally, Batista was originally set to headline the 2020 Hall of Fame ceremony before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of that year’s event entirely. The six-time World Champion has yet to receive his induction since, and a 2027 ceremony could finally deliver what was promised five years ago. With a class of this caliber, the 2027 Hall of Fame could rank among the most star-studded in company history.
