Corinne Joy, Jazzy Yang Set For MLW Debuts Saturday

MLW’s women’s division is adding two new names this weekend, as social media stars Corinne Joy and Jazzy Yang are set to make their promotional debuts on Saturday, August 22.

Corinne Joy arrives with a substantial online following, including more than one million TikTok followers, and is looking to translate that digital audience into momentum inside the ring. Jazzy Yang, an influencer in her own right known for her confidence and style, joins her in stepping into MLW for the first time. Both are expected to have their eyes on the promotion’s title picture from the jump.

They won’t have an easy runway. MLW’s women’s division already features a competitive mix of talent jockeying for position, including Shotzi, Scarlett Bordeaux, Lady Frost, ZAMAYA, and Priscilla Kelly. Any newcomer stepping into that group is immediately thrown into the deep end of a crowded contender pool rather than being handed a soft landing spot.

Bringing in performers with large built-in social media audiences is a strategy plenty of promotions have leaned on in recent years, and it makes sense for MLW to test the water with Joy and Yang given the division’s current depth. A large following doesn’t guarantee in-ring results, but it does mean eyes will be on their first outings regardless of how the matches shake out. The real story will be how quickly they can back up that attention with performances that hold up against a division that isn’t short on established names.

Fans will get their first look at both newcomers when MLW FUSION airs Saturday at 6:05 PM ET, streaming free on YouTube, with the show also available at 9:00 PM ET on VEEPS and airing at 10:00 PM ET on beIN SPORTS. The episode will additionally stream on NJPW WORLD Monday at 12:00 PM JST, which corresponds to Sunday at 11:00 PM ET in the U.S.

With the women’s division already stacked, Joy and Yang’s arrival raises the stakes for everyone involved — newcomers included. How MLW books their first matches could offer an early signal of how seriously the promotion intends to fold them into the title conversation, or whether they’ll need to climb the ranks the hard way like everyone else in a division that isn’t handing out shortcuts.
