Rhodes indicated that he views his story with The Rock as unresolved, a sentiment that carries real weight given how their history played out. The last time Johnson appeared on WWE programming was at the 2025 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, a night that also saw John Cena make a shocking heel turn by aligning himself with The Rock. The Rock’s sporadic schedule and the star power he brings whenever he does show up have made every potential Rhodes interaction feel like appointment television.
