With AEW Forbidden Door just weeks away, a notable number of performers from all three participating promotions — AEW, NJPW, and CMLL — had not yet been informed of their roles on the show as of this week’s AEW Dynamite taping.

The June 28 pay-per-view is one of the most ambitious events on AEW’s annual calendar, bringing together talent from three major promotions under one roof. Despite the event’s proximity, multiple talents across all three organizations were still in the dark about whether or how they’d be used on the card.

The situation highlights the logistical complexity that comes with coordinating a show of this scale.
