AEW Dynamite: Beach Break aired live on TBS and HBO Max on July 8, 2026, from Clearwater, Florida, delivering one of the most eventful nights in recent AEW history ahead of Redemption in Montreal.

The show opened with a backstage segment featuring Kenny Omega and Michael Nakazawa, where Omega told Renee Paquette that he does his best work with his back against the wall — and that if the night was truly his last title shot, he was ready to make it count.

Tommaso Ciampa and Chris Jericho kicked off the in-ring action in a brawl that spilled through the beach set before officially beginning in the ring. Jericho drew blood early on, but Ciampa regained control with a DDT off the ropes. After a back-and-forth war — including an Air Raid Crash off the top and Jericho hitting a top-rope hurricanrana — Ciampa threw sand in Jericho’s eyes to escape the Walls of Jericho, then landed a Bicycle Knee for the pinfall victory. Post-match, Ciampa attacked Jericho with a steel chair and produced a power drill from under the ring before referees and security intervened.

A vignette showed Brawling Birds members Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor beating up patrons at a pub, with Windsor noting it felt good to get back to brawling.

Kyle Fletcher captured the AEW International Championship from Konosuke Takeshita, with Don Callis providing timely interference to help his Protostar get the win. In the segment that followed, Andrade El Ídolo lured the Don Callis Family into a trap alongside Darby Allin, who had an exploding skateboard waiting for them.

Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley teamed up to defeat The WorkHorsemen — Anthony Henry and JD Drake — in tag team action.

The Women’s Casino Gauntlet began with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena and Maya World among the participants, but the night’s biggest surprise came with the return of Willow Nightingale. Nightingale powered through the field and finished Julia Hart with a Babe With the Powerbomb to earn an AEW Women’s World Title shot against Thekla at Redemption. The celebration was short-lived, however — Thekla speared Nightingale after the match, only to be taken out by a belt shot from Mercedes Moné. The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions Divine Dominion appeared to side with Moné as they attacked the Sisters of Sin on the ramp, and Moné then hit Nightingale with another belt shot to close out the segment.

In the main event, Kenny Omega challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship in what was billed as his final title opportunity. MJF attempted a low blow and used the title belt as a weapon, and also looked to use his Dynamite Diamond Ring — but Will Ospreay stepped in and took the ring away. Omega connected with three V-Triggers and then finished MJF with the One-Winged Angel to capture the AEW World Championship for the second time in his career.

Also on the night, it was announced that
