AEW Dynamite Beach Break Set for Clearwater with Jericho vs. Ciampa, Women’s Casino Gauntlet

AEW’s Beach Break edition of Dynamite takes place on Wednesday, July 8, live from The BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida. The show airs at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and Max.

Headlining the card is a singles match between Chris Jericho and Tommaso Ciampa, a collision between two veterans who have rarely lacked for intensity whenever they’ve shared a stage. Both men carry significant history in professional wrestling, and a Dynamite slot for their clash signals AEW is treating this as a meaningful mid-summer bout.

Also on the card is a Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match, with the stakes running high: the winner earns an AEW Women’s Championship match at AEW Redemption. Athena is confirmed as one of the entrants, and given her reputation as one of the most dominant figures on the women’s roster, she figures to be a central story throughout the match regardless of when she draws her entry number.

The Casino Gauntlet format has become a staple of AEW’s big-match programming, using the multi-entrant, timed-entry structure to build drama and give multiple women a platform before one ultimately punches her ticket to a title opportunity.

With Redemption on the horizon, Beach Break serves as a meaningful checkpoint for the AEW women’s division, and the Jericho-Ciampa showdown gives the card a hard-hitting main-event feel. It shapes up as a strong mid-week offering for fans tuning in from the Gulf Coast showcase.
