Could Roxanne Perez Winning Money In The Bank Break Up Judgment Day?

Roxanne Perez punched her ticket to the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match on the September 21 episode of Raw, pinning both IYO SKY and La Catalina to join a field that now includes Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca and Lash Legend. It’s a stacked group, but Perez’s momentum and standing within Judgment Day make her a legitimate favorite to walk out with the briefcase — and that’s where things could get interesting for her stable.

Judgment Day has been in a strange place since Liv Morgan dropped the WWE Women’s World Championship to Stephanie Vaquer during a September 12 live event in Santiago, Chile, a match that saw special guest referee Becky Lynch play a controversial role down the stretch. The finish has already been nicknamed the ‘Santiago Screwjob’ by fans, and Morgan has made no secret of wanting her rematch. Vaquer has said she’ll grant it, but there’s no indication that title is coming back to Morgan anytime soon.

That opens the door for a fascinating wrinkle: what happens if Perez, not Morgan, becomes the one holding a guaranteed shot at the Women’s World Championship? Perez has spent her time in Judgment Day very much in Morgan’s shadow, playing the loyal protégé who does the dirty work. A Money in the Bank win — and especially a successful cash-in — would flip that dynamic overnight, handing Perez the kind of leverage and spotlight Morgan has held onto since taking over the group’s de facto leadership.

Given the history between the two, it’s not hard to picture Morgan bristling at that shift. Whether that resentment plays out as outright sabotage of a Perez cash-in, or simply as Morgan trying to steer the title picture back in her own favor, the potential for a rift is obvious. And a crack between Morgan and Perez wouldn’t just be a two-person issue — it could force the rest of Judgment Day to pick sides.

Morgan’s ties elsewhere in the group only make that more complicated. She has long-standing chemistry with Dominik Mysterio and brought Raquel Rodriguez into the fold, giving her built-in allies if push comes to shove. JD McDonagh, on the other hand, is a bit more of a wild card — he turned his back on mentor Finn Balor to align with Judgment Day earlier this year, and it’s at least plausible he could be swayed by whichever member is delivering championship gold and raising the group’s profile.

None of this is confirmed booking, of course — it’s speculation based on where the pieces currently sit. But WWE has spent months building tension around Judgment Day’s ‘no leaders’ mantra while clearly positioning Morgan as first among equals. Adding a title-contending Perez to that equation, fresh off outshining her mentor on the way to Money in the Bank, is the kind of setup that tends to pay off in a faction falling apart.

If Perez does cash in successfully, don’t be shocked if the celebration is a lot chillier inside Judgment Day than fans might expect.
