AEW Programming Heads to Hulu Japan Starting in November

AEW is expanding its international footprint, announcing on Wednesday that Dynamite, Collision and its live pay-per-view events will begin streaming exclusively in Japan on Hulu Japan starting in November 2026. The company says more specifics on the arrangement are still to come.

Hulu Japan, run by HJ Holdings, Inc., is a standalone service from the U.S. Hulu brand and is only accessible within Japan. It carries a mix of original programming and catch-up episodes for domestic broadcasts, making it a notable new home for AEW’s weekly shows and premium events in the territory.

The move gives AEW a dedicated streaming outlet in one of the most important international markets in professional wrestling. Japan has long been a proving ground and talent pipeline for the company, with its working relationship with New Japan Pro-Wrestling shaping storylines and crossover matches going back to AEW’s earliest days. Wrestlers like Kazuchika Okada, and the annual Forbidden Door pay-per-view series, have made Japanese audiences a key part of AEW’s identity even when the shows themselves haven’t always been easy to access there.

Up to now, Japanese fans have had to rely on a patchwork of options to keep up with Dynamite and Collision in real time or shortly after air. A dedicated deal with a major domestic streamer like Hulu Japan should make it considerably easier for that audience to follow AEW’s weekly programming and pay-per-views without waiting on delayed uploads or piecing together outside sources.

This also lines up with the broader trend of AEW building out its global media footprint beyond its core U.S. deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, where Dynamite and Collision simulcast on HBO Max alongside their TBS and TNT airings. Securing international streaming partners in individual territories has become a bigger part of Tony Khan’s strategy as the company looks to grow its audience and revenue outside of North America.

No word yet on pricing, whether the deal includes archival content or back catalog matches, or how the pay-per-view streams will be packaged for Hulu Japan subscribers. AEW says further details will be shared as the November launch date approaches, so expect more concrete information on availability and access in the coming weeks.

For a promotion that has increasingly leaned into the international scope of its audience, adding a proper streaming home in Japan is a meaningful step. It’s a market AEW has courted creatively for years, and now it will have a more direct line to fans there watching the product live.
