Kingston had been booked for a six-man tag match, teaming with Ortiz and Gabriel Fuerza against Sheldon Jean, Jessie V and Mark Wheeler. C4 Wrestling has not said how that match will be adjusted in his absence, though the promotion pledged the rest of the card would still deliver and asked fans to continue supporting the event.

Fighting Back is C4 Wrestling’s signature annual show, now in its 15th year, raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society. This year’s edition was held at the Preston Event Centre in Ottawa, with the show airing through IndependentWrestling.TV and the promotion’s YouTube channel.

The timing is notable given where Kingston currently sits with AEW. AEW itself has no live event this weekend, having already taped the next Collision, and won’t return to live action until Dynamite airs from Baltimore next Wednesday.
