Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods Booked for Jericho Cruise

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have their next appearance lined up, and it’s only going to intensify chatter about where they land after WWE. Chris Jericho announced on Instagram that the duo, now going by Kofi and Austin Creed, will make their debut aboard the next Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea, which sails from Miami to the Bahamas from November 7 through November 11.

Jericho’s announcement leaned into the pair’s longtime persona even with The New Day name no longer in play. “Hello Cruisers! It’s a brand new day and we are beyond excited to announce that Kofi and Austin Creed are making their Jericho Cruise debut!” he wrote, adding, “Get ready for Unicorns, Trombones, Gaming, Pancakes and so much more, as two of the most entertaining personalities in the biz, bring the party!!!!”

The booking lands at an interesting moment. Kingston and Woods are now past their 90-day WWE non-compete period and have already begun teasing their next move, including an animated video marking their departure. AEW has been the most talked-about destination for the two since they left WWE, and their presence on Jericho’s cruise — given his standing as an AEW star — naturally feeds that speculation, even though the cruise itself has never been an exclusively AEW-branded event and has featured talent from all over the industry.

There’s also been chatter about what kind of act Kingston and Woods might bring if AEW does end up being the answer. Podcaster Self Made Pro recently said he’d gotten the impression the two are looking to reinvent themselves rather than simply continue as a nostalgia act. “I’ve been given the implication and impression that they want to try something that they haven’t been able to and basically reinvent themselves,” he said, adding that they reportedly have ideas for presentations they never got to try in WWE and even a list of talent they’d like to work with.

None of this confirms a deal is signed, sealed, or even close. But it’s easy to see why fans are connecting the dots. Kingston and Woods spent over a decade as one of WWE’s most beloved acts, and after New Day’s breakup and their eventual exits, their next chapter is one of the more closely watched free-agent situations in wrestling right now. A cruise appearance alongside Jericho doesn’t move them any closer to an actual AEW contract, but it does put them in the orbit of the promotion’s biggest ambassadors for cruise-based content, and optics matter in a business built on speculation.

What happens between now and their cruise debut in November will likely say more than the booking itself. If Kingston and Woods do end up choosing AEW, the idea of a fresh presentation — something separate from the New Day identity WWE still owns — makes plenty of sense as a way to reintroduce them without treading on old ground. For now, though, their landing spot remains unannounced, and the wrestling world will keep watching every move for clues.
